Principal’s Message - Spring Semester

undefinedThe middle school years are a special time for you and your child.  Your child will experience great physical and emotional growth.  At times, it will seem as if your child is changing overnight.  We are here to help you and your child with the transition from childhood to adolescence.  It is important, during this crucial time in your child’s life, for school and home to communicate.  The school is here to help!

A few things you can do to ensure your child’s success are: get to know your child’s teachers and counselor; attend school events, such as Back to School Night, Parent Conference Nights, and Open House; daily review your child’s agenda book; weekly check your child’s academic progress via Schoology; and make sure you receive your child’s report card every 5 weeks.

Finally, keep the lines of communication open with your child. Encourage your child to talk about her/his school day and get to know her/his friends.  Remember, as grown up as your child may seem, she/he still needs and wants your support!
