Principal’s Message - Entering Middle School

undefinedThe middle school years are special one’s for you and your child.  Your child will experience great physical and emotional growth.  At times, it will seem as if your child is changing overnight.  We are here to help you and your child with the transition from childhood to adolescence.  It is important, during this crucial time in your child’s life, for school and home to communicate.  The school is here to help you keep track of what is going on with your child’s education.  A few simple things you can do to ensure your child’s success are getting to know your child’s teachers and school counselor, attending school events, such as Parent Conference Night and Open House, daily reviewing your child’s agenda book, weekly checking your child’s academic progress via Schoology and making sure you receive your child’s report card every 5 weeks.  Finally, remember to keep the lines of communication open with your child. Encourage your child to talk about her/his school day and what she/he did with her/his friends.  Remember, as grown up as your child may seem or want to be, she/he still needs and wants your support.
